It’s snowing in Regensburg…just a little. It’s only threatening to rain here.
So some language info:
I just signed up for a German Idiom Course online. After reviewing the first chapter, I remembered everything I learned, 20 new Idioms!! z.B. “Das ist Jacke wie Hose….Ich fasse mich ein Herz….Ich mache gute Miene zum bösen Spiel…” Pretty cool. There are 19 more Chapters, for which I have access to for the entire year any time, and they use every technique to help improve the brain glue, Prima! (listening, silly pictures, real-life complex sentence examples, spelling, comprehension) They even have classes in Spanish.
I need all the help I can get. I wasn’t good with the deciphering the English idioms back in the day (i.e., Needle in a hay stack, give someone a piece of your mind, Break a’ leg!, going like hot cakes!). Anyone got anymore? Email me, because I’m having a hard time finding in my brain the english equivalent to alot of German idioms. Thanks!!!
P.S. Good talking with you Brenda, gets some rest and good luck with your future job.
