Hmm…I haven’t written in a while. I guess I’ve been busy behind the scenes. Alex and I are preparing for our Einweihungsparty or Housewarming Pary for next weekend. Yeah, I know…four months later. But the weather’s warm enough where we can finally use the balcony. We think we’ll have max of 20 people so I’m a little nervous about the portions, places to sit, cleanliness of the rooms, etc. But I’m excited. We bought the famous “5 dollar” grill (where it’s bad luck to throw out the cardboard box) and I’m making lumpia and the filipino meat-on-a-stick. I have to ask my mom how to make the meat sticks again…oh and it’s Mother’s Day tomorrow! I’ve definitely have to give her a call :wub:
School: SOS. Everyday it’s like slowly pulling hairs out around an open sore. Alas, the picture of a Gleichstrommaschine or DC electric motor is almost coming together. This gaping head wound of mine must be healing ever so slowly. I know now that dichte = density, gleichgewicht = equilibrium, gleichung = equation…, but the nouns are the easy part. SO what’s the physics behind a solarcell? Um, I’m still trying to figure that out. And the cherry of the matter is that my german is worse than 3 months ago because I’m a lazy schlub. But the show must go on even if I’ve forgotten all of my lines. I still have to make this look good.
