Taking some time off -Molly and Chad arrived last night in Munich because their plans to Budapest got scratched. Apparently there are riots in the streets because the Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany from the Socialist Party admitted that he had lied about the government’s record to secure re-election in April. It’s the first of such violence since the fall of communism in the late 1980s. Crazy.
So my first American visitors are here two days early. Unfortunately, I’ve got to study and deal with appointments, blah, blah -and the weather is gorgeous for this time of year, and Alex is stressing over his first week at work back from vacation.
But our newly-wedded guests are completely cool, laid back travelers. I hope they enjoy Munich B) and their side trip to Regensburg. I had to warn them that this weekend is Italian Weekend at the Oktoberfest. There are so many Italians that the country provides Italian cops to help at the fest.
In the meantime, blogging is on hold.

Too bad about Budapest. It’s always been one of my favorite cities to visit. Have fun with your friends.
Me blogging was sort of on hold (kind-of still is) so there was lots for me to read today…
Me want to eat a McDreck chicken sandwich
Have fun time with visitors when you have the time
Oh cool, Molly and Chad are there! Sorry it was 2 days earlier, I know how hectic that can be, but you’re right, they’re laid back.
Hope you guys have a fun time
