View from my neighborhood.Well, that was 10 days, it sure went fast. My family is somewhere over Frankfurt right now, most likely getting well adjusted to their comfy seats. :greyno:
If feels abit strange that I’m not planning for the day’s event. Now, it’s just me, studying, cleaning, and bloging. Just as they arrived, the leaves were turning their fall colors and reached its peak on Monday. What Munich held back from me last year in terms of good weather, it certainly made up for it while my family was in town this year. Here I was warning them about a potential freezing climate before hand, only to be countered by German’s record high temps for this season. You’ll hear no complaints from me, although the heat did get unbearable for those Floridians used to the pleasures of A.C. All in all, I hope they enjoyed their time here. It was definitely a treat to show them around the place I call my home away from home.
So now visiting hours are over. Now it’s time to plan for the winter holidays, with our trip to Florida, and leave Alex to study for the next six weeks for preparation of his Doktorat defense and oral examination. The approval to take his exam and turn in his thesis was given 3 days ago on Tuesday. Now its chomp, chomp time!

Hi, I read your posts earlier but didnt have time time to comment. GLad you made it thru your 10 days
ps – i like your mom’s new hair-do. will write back later.
just finished reading your below entry. i would have ordered whatever you ordered, “i’ll have what she’s having”
i love sauerkraut and liver.
we went out last night with dave and alizza. had me some Oktoberfest beer. it was good. im sure not as good are over there, but prob good to mild preferences.
i love how theres soo much to do and see outside – art, cafes, etc. i wish it was more like that here, but the weather does not permit it here as you know. we have a few weeks of coolness, then back to indoors AC. but i guess we do have the breeze, beachside tikis.
cant wait to see yall in december. we’ll prob be in the st pete area the last week of dec. we can just go with the flow.
