image from 101 Uses for a John HowardWhooohoo. As I got my stitches taken out (I cringed, but there was no need), I got the okay from Doc K: the crutches can stay behind. I’m making strides albeit small ones. I no longer need to take the shots and the swelling has diminished. My knee resembles a knee again. I’ve also reached my goal of bending to 90°. The first two weeks were seriously tough, but now things are manageable and my patience is restored. I still need to rest, keep my leg elevated and switch out between ice packs. But getting rid of those darn crutches has made my day.

Wow! That´s fast isn´t it? I had to walk with crutches 2 years ago for about a 4 weeks through snow and ice which was very tricky. There was no patience left at the end.
Four weeks of crutches in snow and ice! I oughta quit my whining.
Take a rest is the best way to cure your knee
