..in “knee”, and you just spoke in German. How ’bout that?
My knee is doing well. My tibia is still sensitive to pressure along my shin, near my knee cap and inner meniscus. I’m walking without the 550€ metal brace because it’s more trouble than its worth. The thing keeps slipping down my leg and pinches the inner-side of my knee. Now’s the time to start krafttraining (strength training) because I’ve lost considerable muscle that is supposed to protect my ligaments. What a balancing act. Here are pictures of my progress:

it’s so big!It has been a 4-day weekend for us. I’ve been studying my Fragebogen for my European drivers license test and Alex has been studying the features of our new television. We are able to hook up our computer to the HD screen and let the movies fly. No more burning stuff to disk. Handy.
tenley and meTonight we are off to another Halloween party with our English-speaking compatriots. It should be ghastly. We went to Robin’s party on the 31st but left at midnight because the knee was being a pussy and my tolerance for spirited beverages isn’t what it was over a month ago at the Okfest. Tomorrow we’re headed to Regensburg to finally meet other fellow expat blogers, like Christina. I’m looking forward to good Bavarian food and good company. Cheer to you all.

hi there… just discovered your blog. I’m a fellow Munich expat blogger… do you guys have a group, or something? I want to eat good Bavarian food with good company!

@Emily: Hiya. Boy you sure leave a lot of messages :star:
There isn’t an organized group that I’m aware of. But there is a meet up today in Regensburg for those expats in the region. That’s pretty a creative blog start you’ve got.
Cheers!
Hiya Heza!
It was great meeting you last night. I’ll let you know soon when I’ll be coming down to München. Hopefully we can hang out!
Am so glad to hear your knee is doing better!
@Christina: thanks so much for organizing the meet-up. I really wasn’t expecting to meet people who understood my expat experience. Damn PMS. Sorry I got so emotional:cocktail: I’d love to hang out again and play with the lil’ man.
@Betsy: Oh me too! I can’t wait to get back on a bike again.
glad to hear you’re able to get around esp to the parties
g’luck with the strength training. I can even see thru the web that 1 leg is smaller than the other
But leave out the K in Knut when referring to the polar bear. Every time I referred to him “the proper way” to a non-German speaker, they would never know who I was talking about.
OUCH… Or ‘eina’ in Afrikaans… for that knee! It looks extremely painful!!! I must say I’m a wooss when it comes to pain
Hope you get better soon though!:eis:
