In Berlin we lived right next to the Spree and I had some kind of similar reaction to the mosquitos there. I'd get these 3 inch in diameter welts all over my body. The dermatologist gave me some prescription cream that needed to be mixed up by the pharmacist and stored in the fridge - no idea what it was anymore - but it was amazing. We moved away after a year and a half, I never thought it could be just my immune system adjusting. I figured it was evil Spree mosquitos!

@ChristinaG: Oh man. If I had more than one of these welts on my body, you'd have to put me to sleep until it's over. I'm happy you don't have to deal with Spree bugs anymore. -apropos, I like Spree candy ;)

Eck!

@Pinger: Hey your back! Oh I want to hear all about it. Can I call you? -Yea, I upgraded and so the icons are not-so-up. :64: you have to type in the smiley -Yep, Baby Beckham is so handsome and I love his name. I'm thinking Selma needs some Posh sunglasses, hehe.

I understand the sacrificial anode principle. When my wife is around I never get get bitten by midges. She gets all the bites. When she is not there I get a few but not too many.
Perhaps its a pheronome thing whereby some people get bitten more than others? :)
