..please, if you are an American tourist, do not ask the question aloud, “Hey, why is the German flag in Belgium?” It’s hard to defend against the astonished Europeans.
We were in Belgium and visited Kortrijk, Knokke, Brugge, and Brussels. It has been a year since I’ve seen the beach and Knokke brought it all back albeit a bit cold and very trendy. I wish I had taken pictures during the ride to Knokke. Along the way the land is wet and mushy and on more than one occasion we spotted animals that look like miniature woolly lambs. Some highlights of Knokke:

How did you like Brugge? When I was last there, I was too young to appreciate it (15-16) and have a feeling I would benefit from another visit.
Yeah, it cost us over $40 in stamps alone for Christmas Cards.
Havent felt like writing much. Just veggin in front of tv. May try to go to yoga tomorrow, first time in awhile.
Have a great time in Belgium!
Happy New Year!
@pinger: yeah I got swept up in the festivities in Iserlohn. I managed a few phone calls, bummer I missed you.
@Chris: I'm convinced there are people who just loose all awareness of themselves when in a foreign setting. Americans are most susceptible to this, esp. in groups. Maybe a behavioral section should be included in all tourist books.
