Sounds promising! How long can you actually stay?

Apparently, as long as I have a reason to and it agrees with the German bureaucracy.

But just for statistics sake, after completing my major I have a year to look for a job in Germany. One could stay in Germany up to 10 years on a student visa..studying of course. The list goes on ..all situations are do-able you just need thick skin, a pocket full of patience, and connections to a lawyer.
