I remember clearly telling Eva: ‘We’re watching the game at home ‘cause I have serious doubts Germany’ll win against Portugal. Wanna come over?’
But they did win. So I guess, we’ll be watching their semi-final match of the European Championship at home again. Because we’re superstitious like that.
Go Germany! Finally you guys coughed up the poison apple you all have choking on for the last two games. Let the Sommermärchen summer fairytale continue..

I invited people to watch it at my apartment for the same reason! I thought Germany might lose because the previous two games didn't go that well...and I didn't want to be out in the crowd if it went badly. But it didn't! Yay!

I was at Hamburg airport last night to pick up a friend from Munich for the 'Kieler Woche'. They had sort of public viewing at Terminal 2 which means two tiny flat screens with no sound for 100 people. They went nuts when Ballack scored. We stayed with one or two cool 'Jever' ("...kein anderes Bier") until the match was over.
