smiling back

Do you see it? The smile reflecting back at me?

Thanks to Christina, Amy, Kristie, and Dad (and the rest of you who silently grumbled, I could feel your frustration) for bumping to my attention the gravity of the browser madness my blog was creating.

After some milling over my comment to Christina, I backed up and thought, why should I be intolerant? Who am I to dictate which software someone uses? Of course, me being a lazy novice when it comes to coding, I appreciate that Firefox is not so militant when it comes to un-kosher syntax in Javascript, although it is only a matter of time when Firefox reigns and becomes just as righteous as Internet Explorer. Which software will I love then? I guess that’s the wrong line of questioning to this problem. All along it should have been, how can I continually show love to you, dear reader? I hope the answer is at the very least, with happy error-free internet surfing.*

As for the picture: I noticed it this morning at 8:30 while making coffee. The sunlight reflecting off the windows on to the building opposite our kitchen window. Just 15 minutes later, the smile was gone. It was an interesting moment to take notice, especially after a half sleepless night worrying over an awful smell emanating from a neighbor’s apartment. I may have to write about it later. It ended up being nothing serious, if anything, our neighbors are sleeping more soundly that we showed last night neighborly concern. Seeing the sunlight reflected in the shape of a smiley, brought significance to me, even if imagined. So I hope you notice a smile on your way today as well.

*speaking of error free viewing: this site is optimized for Firefox version 3.0.4, you can update your browser here if you are still using 2.0.0.18 or below. Also, if you find any obscene errors with other browsers, you are a gentle soul if you kindly let me know :)
