This is not a knitting blog

And no. I am not pregnant. But Alex’s sister-in-law is, with her second child and thus the presence of un-Heza-esque accessoires. Please don’t feel disappointed on both counts.

This is called an FO in the knitting world. But I have yet to discover what F.O. stands for. Some how Vietnamese soup comes to mind.

This is my 3rd project I have completed that is wear or verschenken (gifting) worthy barely. I won’t dive into the details of how much time it took because I am no speed knitter but I will tell you that the yarn is bio-yarn (organic) and typically used to knit lovely socks for Tracht. Yes, the little kid from Bochum will be sporting Bavarian booties. Sabotage. Here is the pattern.

Alex wants them back if they don’t want them when the baby gets too big. I thought that was a nice compliment. He likes small things. But still they may do with these as the please.

IMGAfter three attempts to close this baby up, yeah, it’s done. Maybe it’s a row or two too short but it is in the range I’m looking for and I was running out yarn. oops!

It’s a definite that I should take a break but I really like this pattern and silly me bought some more yarn in another color to make a matching scarf and hat. Perhaps I’m feeling too confident in my knitting ability to start thinking up gifts. Hopefully this next project will be done before winter ends. If you can call this winter. I can’t imagine this knitting spiel could play into summer.

P.S. yes, the pattern is a Koolhaas Hat.
